Finland switches to English the second you hesitate, so the first win this site can hand you is not speaking - it is understanding what was just said. That is a listening problem, and listening is the half most courses treat as homework.
Two kinds of piece live here. The ones about the sound itself - vowel length, consonant doubling, the four borrowed consonants, why the meaning was glued to the end of the first word - and the ones about what to put in your ears: the news in plain Finnish, the TV that is worth your time, the auto-captions that transcribe what was said rather than what should have been.
